Turtle Drum and Dance

History

I was very taken with African drumming in Northampton, MA and then Seattle, WA in the early 90's. 'Taken' as in taken with spirit. As I tried out drum classes from a variety of teachers, a deep yearning took seed in me to have a drum circle that was specifically meant for delving into the spiritual dimensions of drumming. I didn't find this circle, so as time went on, my life did too.

One of the things I did since then is train in Core Shamanism. I have develop a very fulfilling practice using the drum to contact and communicate with my helping spirits in the otherworlds. You can read more about it by clicking on "About Jen" on the right.

I wanted to return to the drumming community, hopefully as a servant to our tapestry of fun with something good to offer.

Now I am happy to be a member of the Turtle Drum as Bill Barton takes the helm as our leader and with Rilla hosting as well.
